Open space = more opportunity for Farmer's Markets.
U District Square had a great meeting with the director of Seattle Neighborhood Farmer's Markets--- the people who bring the amazing market to University Heights each week, all year long. The U District Farmer's market is pretty hard to beat (who doesn't love the flowers, fresh cheese and pasta, home grown veggies, plus all the quirky and delicious stuff that appears each year?
What could be better than the weekly Farmer's Market? How about a twice-weekly market, once on Saturday at U Heights and once during the week at U District Square?
Can you picture yourself picking up Wednesday night dinner from the market before you get on the Light Rail to go home?
