How is crime changing in the U District?
Across a number of types, crime in the U District is decreasing.
Programmed by one of our volunteers, this tool uses Seattle Police Incident Reports from 2010 to 2015 to put crime in that time period into perspective. When filtered for the Greater U District (Precinct U), crime across most of the reported types is decreasing.

It is premature to make any judgements of correlation between community-driven improvements to our neighborhood and decreasing crime, but this is one metric that our group will continue to monitor. Furthermore, we are in the process of building more tools to analyze and eventually make meaningful changes.
