Park(ing) Day
Park(ing) Day

A nice day to sit in the park. Come join us for Park(ing) Day at the U District Parklet (Friday and Saturday)

Park(ing) Day

Friday & Saturday, September 16-17th

Participating in the internationally-hosted Park(ing) Day, we built a temporary park in the public right-of-way for socializing, picnicking, and serendipitous meetings of neighbors.

Just north of the U District Parklet, we transformed two parking spaces into a PARK for our enjoyment and to foster socializing in our public right-of-way Friday and Saturday. Friday from 10am until 7pm, and on Saturday from 10am until 2pm, or as long as there is interest. Like us on Facebook.

Some shopped at our local farmers market on Saturday and then joined us at the parklet for a potluck lunch on Saturday at noon.

Come celebrate owning the street for a day!
